Poor Customer Service - Hurley Auto Sales

My fiancé and I purchased a car from Hurley Auto Sales on Friday, June 25, 2010. Less than an hour after buying the car, the check engine light came on. The owner told us that he would try to fix the problem. He took the car for 2 weeks, fixing a small part that may or may not fix the problem. He told us to call him if the check engine light came back on in the next few days. It came on again the day after we picked it up from the shop. We have been trying to contact him for over two weeks now with no response. A few days ago, the brakes gave out on the car on my way home from work. We took it to a trusted mechanic who informed us that there are at least 4 other problems on top of needing the brakes fixed. The repairs will easily cost more than what we paid for the car. We understand that we bought a used car; however, this car is not safe or usable in anyway. Having the owner of Hurley Auto Sales ignore us for so long is both frustrating and stressful.
